Mylene Gilbert-Dumas -  Writer in Residence.

Mylene has written three books that are based in Dawson.  Even though her books are written in French, Mylene's presentation will be in English.

Born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, she studied literature and linguistics at Laval University, and taught French in an English High School in Quebec City. In 2002, Mylene's first novel, Les dames de Beauchene, tome 1, won the Robert-Cliche literary prize and in 2004 was a finalist at the Grand prix littteraire de la releve Archambault.

Les dames de Beauchene is now a three-part series and we are honoured to have them in our library.  We also have her novels, 1704, and Lili Klondike, tomes 1, 2 and 3.
