Benjamin Gallander, Toronto 2001 Benjamin Gallander received his M.B.A. degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax. He is a sought-after speaker on the seminar circuit and writes for various financial publications throughout North America. He is co-editor and publisher of the stock market newsletter Contra The Heard and author of The Canadian Small Business Survival Guide. Gallander's financial results speak for themselves, with five and ten year annualised returns clicking in at 33.9% and 27% respectively. Recommending only companies in which he invests, his Contra The Heard is considered to be one of the most influential investment letters on the street. Strictly limited to 1,000 clients, about 15% of Contra's clientele are stockbrokers and investment professionals. He is followed quarterly in The Globe & Mail, and was called in the day after the stock market crash to explain it by Canada's number one radio show, CBC's "This Morning".
